This skit was originally named 'Broken Heart' but the name has been changed to avoid confusion with a brilliant 45 minute Christian play called 'Broken heart' with a similar concept by Linda MacDonald.
This skit is a short mime. You can add and subtract at will from this skit to suit the needs of your group or your topic!!
3 teenage girls
The scene opens up with the boy standing in the middle of the stage. He draws a heart where his heart is, and then takes it out. Have him put his two hands together and "pump" his heart, like it's beating.
Enter girl #1 coyly, and flirting. She goes to boy and points to his heart, and mimes asking for it. He is reluctant, and shakes his head "no." She tries some more, and finally he gives in and gives her his heart. At first she takes very good care of it, hugging, lovingly taking care of it. Then she starts to get bored, and begins to toss it around. The boy looks horrified! She starts to bounce it like a basketball, he tries to get it from her, but she keeps it away. Finally she gets totally bored with it, drops it to the ground, and grinds it with the heel of her shoe then walks away looking at the boy pitiful like. The boy is in shock, and drops to his knees to gather up the pieces of his broken heart. At first it pumps weakly, and then stronger.
Another girl comes in and 'seduces' the boys heart away from him, although he is much more reluctant to give his heart away this time. She does the same with the heart as the previous girl... The previous girl comes back, and then the two girls play keep away with the boys heart. He is very hurt. At last girl number 2 also stomps his heart. The boy is devastated. Once again, he gathers up the pieces of his heart, at first pumping weakly, and then again more strongly.
Another girl comes to him, and tries to comfort the boy. (hugs, nods of head etc). He is VERY suspicious of her, thinking she will destroy his heart. He tries to hide it from her. Then she shakes her head no, and draws the heart on her chest, and takes it out, and slowly lets it go to God... (pumping action with hands, and slowly raising them up to heave, finally letting go with the biggest smile on her face). She then encourages him to do the same. He doesn't want to, but she encourages more. Finally it's like he "sees the light" and he does give his heart to God! The girl is ecstatic and they hug!!
First girl comes back, and tries to win back his heart... but he looks at her and says no. She tries to "manipulate" the situation in her favour, but then the boy "explains" to her that God loves him, and that he gave his heart to God... and encourages her to do the same. She does. And they walk off the stage arms linked, happy and praising God.
