The Office of the Children’s Commissioner is an independent organisation for young people to express their views and opinions on such things as asylum seeking, bullying,  children and young people in society, disabled children, health & wellbeing, tackling discrimination, vulnerable children, youth justice, anti-social behaviour and anything else... There is also a competition to enter for those under 18.

Active Outdoors

Taking advantage of message boards and forums Active Outdoors sets out get 13 to 25 year olds involved with outdoor activities that will have positive benefits for them and their community. Search the Open Directory Project using this Australian based site for teachers who send their students on web searches, and who want to keep things both suitable and safe. Sites in ODP are categorised by humans not machine and Kids.Net.Au uses just the "Kids and Teens" portion of ODP (less than 1% of the links) turning those into an attractive website of its own. Result: an age-appropriate, moderately extensive, and properly edited directory, like Yahooligans and About.Com but without the ads!"
